YM2B:

Innovative twelve week antenatal courses run jointly by Sure Start and midwives. A rolling programme, young women can join at any time during their pregnancy. Held in Livingston and Whitburn, the course provides information on labour, birth and childcare as well as activities aimed at affirming the young women as individuals. Lunch is provided.

YM+:

These groups are aimed at fulfilling the needs of both young mums and their children, based in some venues across West Lothian, some creche facilities are provided. Sessions include personal development matters, behaviour management and play and child development.

YOUNG MOTHERS @ SCHOOL:

Sure Start West Lothian offers individual provision for pregnant teenagers to continue in education. A specialist worker gives home-based support and funded childminders allow mums to attend lessons and exams.
