:: OPTIONS and CHOICES ::

For people thinking about making some kind of change in their lives. You might be thinking about looking for a job, finding out about a course or looking for new spare time interests. This course can help you to look at the different choices open to you and helps you to decide what is best for you. Includes looking at your skills and interests and making up an action plan to help you to get to where you want to go.

:: ADULT DIRECTIONS ::

This involves answering a series of questions about your interests. A computer then analyses your responses and produces a printout of twenty job suggestions for you. If you are unsure about the jobs that may suit you, or if you just want some new ideas, then this session can help you decide what might be the best job for you.

:: PUT A CV TOGETHER ::

Lots of job adverts now require you to have a Curriculum Vitae (CV). This is a record of your qualifications and experience. During this session you will have the chance to look at examples of CV's and put together your own CV which you can use to apply for job vacancies.

:: APPLICATION FORMS AND LETTERS ::

This session aims to help you to complete application forms for jobs or courses that may interest you. If you are unsure about completing forms and would like some tips on what to write and what not to write then the course could help to give you some useful ideas.

:: INTERVIEWS ::

This session looks at interviews and how to prepare for them. The aim of the session is to help you to feel more confident about interviews and to give you ideas on how to answer questions and present yourself well.

:: CAREERS APPOINTMENT ::

This is an opportunity to talk in private about your future job/training/education plans. You can ask questions about courses/jobs that are available, find out about job vacancies, look into funding and benefit information or look at careers information about particular jobs that interest you.

:: SELF ESTEEM ::

This session aims to look at self esteem and how it affects your everyday life. This will give you a chance to help to build your self esteem and feel more confident.
